Employee is not able to edit his phone/email via self service

With Custom Employee role, employees are not able to Edit their Phone number and Email Id, under ME > Contact Info > Communication.

Hi All
With Custom Employee role, employees are not able to Edit their Phone number and Email Id, under ME > Contact Info > Communication. Kindly please help how to give them access to update/edit their Phone/email.
