How do you revert a global transfer

Hello, 

A client of mine has wrongfully processed a global transfer for an employee to a new legal entity. They want this reverted but I am not sure what to do. when i press edit and delete it tells me to end the work relationship. Is there an easy way to do this? what would happen if I cancel that work relationship?
