BIP Date Parameter Validation

Hi

We have BIP report in which date parameter is there we are defaulting the date with system date , now the requirement is that user should not select date beyond 3 months in the past , how we can disable the these date OR if select date beyond 3 months we should show some error, how to do this please ?
