Manager Type Approval Rule Configuration

Hi - We have approval rule requirements, which is based on Manager Type. For Example, during manage change transaction, if LINE MANAGER is changed for worker, we have to follow one approval path. If MATRIX MANAGER is changed for worker, we have to follow another approval path.  But we are not able to find Worker’s Proposed Manager Type in Tasks. Please advise.
