Rehire Notifications Going to Previous Manager and not Rehire Manager

We have an Intern Rehire, but all of the system notifications are going to the previous Hire Manager and not the New Manager

But everything we've checked looks correct, and ties in with the New Manager.

Could there be a reason why the notifications would go to the previous terminated role Manager?, missed process?
