PO Box failing address validation

PO Box failing address validation for home address but not for mailing address

When loading addresses, an employee has a PO Box address. It is failing validation on the home address but not mailing address. Do home addresses require a physical address? It would make sense but I'm having a hard time finding any documentation on it. Thanks!
