Approval rule for salary change in HCM fusion

We are trying to create an approval rule where the routing based on manager name .
For example, if line manager is "ABC" then route1 , if line manager is not "ABC" then route2.
I have tried below ways which did not work or gave an error on data type so can anyone help on this?
- Worker's Assignment Supervisor.Manager Name != "ABC" --> gave error that 'Worker's Assignment Supervisor.Manager Name' is not valid here.
- Assignment.Assignment Supervisor == "ABC" --> gave error that 'RUL-05720: data type mismatch for test "==": List == String'
