Is it possible to capture additional person info in self service and send it for approval

We need to capture some personal interest/declaration of employees and send it for approval

Content (required):

Additional Person Info can be used for capturing employees interest but it does not support approval. We need some mechanism where employees could update them in Self Service and based on some criteria send it for approval. Once approved, the details should remain in "Me"
