Do you allow ex-employees ability to log in to view payslips/W2.Please share custom role, processes?

Summary:

We are trying to explore ability to give ex -employees ability to log in to system to view W2. We use single sign on but interested to know if any of your organization is doing the same or have explored the capabilities? We use single sign on and once employee is terminated they loose access. Interested to know if any one of you have explored system capabilities to achieve this ?
