Approval configuration when we delete Home Phone under Personal Information (Me)

Summary:

When an employee deletes a existing Home Phone we need to see that it is auto approved and FYI is sent to one level.

However as per existing rule when change is done it is auto approved but when we delete the existing number it is going into error- Please advice if anyone has this type of scenario
