Custom Alert Syntax Help

Summary:

I am trying to create a custom alert for those that have not completed their required learning training. When I try to paste the below code snippet into the Message Text (source code editing mode toggled), and hit apply, I get the below error message. Furthermore, if I try to toggle to Rich Text Editing Mode it takes my code and reformats it (see below) and I still get the same error. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
