Newer of two dates

Summary: I'm looking for logic that will allow me to pull in two different types of hire dates (new hire date, re-hire date) and return the most recent date. Would I do this with a CASE/WHEN statement?


Content (required):We have multiple hire dates in the system (new hire, re-hire dates specifically) and I need to be able to return the most recent hire date regardless if its the original hire date or the re-hire date. Is there a way to pull that?
