Can Rich text formatting be used in Manage Messages?

Summary:

We would like to be able to use formatting on warning messages for Absence Management absence recording.

For example, add bold and underline to the text to make messages easier to read and highlight important points.

Content (required):

Navigation: Settings and Actions > Setup and Maintenance > Search all > Manage Messages

There's nothing obvious within the UI to be able to do this.

Does any one know whether formatting is possible within the Manage Messages area?
