Unlink candidate profile from user account

Summary

Need to link a candidate account to a user account that is already linked to a different candidate account.

I am trying to resolve some duplicate accounts.  Here's what I have:

CandidateProfile1   linked to  userAccount1

CandidateProfile2   linked to userAccount2

Is there a way I can:

1. First, link CandidateProfile2 to userAccount1
2. Then delete userAccount2 and CandidateProfile1

If userAccount2 has employee Information associated (but has been terminated), will this impact my ability to perform the steps above?
