Does the Oracle code 3 of 9 barcode (B39R00.ttf) work?

I'm trying to utilize the built in oracle barcode fonts but I have taken screenshots of the barcode and scanned them on online scanners which have failed to identify any barcode in the pictures. I generated a barcode with the same information online and can see the two barcodes don't match. Has anybody had issues with the barcode or has it successfully worked for you or others?
