Slicing data in Workforce Trend subject area by Sales Region

Summary:

I am trying to measure period start and end headcount that lives in Workforce Mgmt - Workforce Trend subject areas. I need to be able to slice it by Sales Region. Sales Region does not exist in Workforce Trend subject area. When I combine it to Worker Assignment subject area, it does not slice the data as I need. How do I get the measures in one subject area to be sliced by an attribute field in another subject area?
