How to identify when a Job Code was last assigned

Summary:

We are working on cleaning up job codes. There are many active job codes and we don't want to inactivate them until we know when the last time the job was assigned, if ever. (We can identify jobs that no one is assigned today.) I would appreciate any suggestions on how to do this please.
