Conversion of courses into HCM causing custom alerts to trigger.

Summary:

As part of our implementation we have had a series of custom alerts built, one of which sends an alert when a new course is added to a person. This has been working fine until a conversion (HDL load) of courses was done and this triggered this alert to all these users. Is there something we are missing in the expressions of the alert or in the way we have done the HDL load to avoid this triggering? We have considered turning off the alert but would need to leave it off for a 24 hour period which
