Updating Hire date removed all assigned roles

Summary:

Content (required):

On 14-Dec-2018, Employee was hired with Hire date as 22-Nov-2004 in HCM

On 07-Jun-2023, Employee hire date is updated to 11-Oct-2004 (Nav - Person Management > Person > Employment > Work Replationship)

After this, We noticed that all the assign roles for the user account are deleted automatically.

Kindly help understand, Why are all the roles deleted for the user?
