Scan a lot of serial numbers

Sometimes we need receive/report a lot of serial numbers not in range!.

As I understood the handling of serials for receiving for example is by:

Supply Chain Execution - > Inventory management->Receipt- > receive expected shipment-> PO 210096 -> click on “Receive” ->fill quantity ->ACTION ->Record Lot Serial Number then need to Enter Single Serial Number one by one

what the best practice if needs to receive a lot of randomly serials (not by file) .? and if we want use scanner how to calibrate it because currently needs to click Enter Singel Serial Number every time
