Not able to add an Offering in the course level after enabling activity sequencing

We have enabled this activity sequencing feature in our lower testing environment. But after enabling the feature we found out that:
1. When we add a learner in a course by navigating to My Client Groups>>Learning>>Learning Catalog>> Courses>> Search for course name.
2. Click on the course and go to Learners>>Add Learners.
3. Add Voluntary required assignment and fill in the details.
4. Click on Submit
5. Once the learner record is coming in the search results, select that record and click on Edit Assignment.
