ESS Address Changes - Address Validation

Question:

Wondering how other customers deal with a challenge we are observing in North America, allowing for ESS address changes:

Having a correct employee address captured, down to the correct street name, is critical to correctly process payroll. While we see other (payroll) systems have validation on address down to the street field, Oracle does not go down to this level of validation. This introduces some risk in employees putting in an invalid address, with knock-on effects when this data hits the payroll system.

How did you solve for this in your organization – through process, reporting or other means?
