How to I get project finish dates to cascade to the task? I am unable to change the setting .

Summary:

I am creating a project from a template. Upon creation I specify the project start date as 7/13/23 and end date 12/31/23. In the template I have to enter task planned start and finish dates. This template will be used to create projects for all kinds of future dates. In the template I have the task planned date start and finish as 1/1/1950. When the project is created, I enter the project start and finish dates above (7/13/23 - 12/31/23). The resulting tasks in the created project have a start date of 7/13/23 and finish date of 7/13/23.
