How do we remove the Amend Approval Path button?

Hello,

 

We need to remove the amend approval path from certain roles, I made a duplicate of the recruiting administrator role and unticked the Approval items and swapped this on my account for testing however it still appears? No other roles connected to the account give amend rights too,

 

Do I have to wait a certain amount of time for it to change my settings?
