GOAL:

This document describes how to return from grub prompt to the grub menu while trying to boot into maintenance mode

SOLUTION:

The procedure is to reboot the instance from the Console.

Depending on the Linux version:

 

1. When the reboot process starts, immediately switch back to the terminal window and press Esc or F5 repeatedly until a menu appears.

 

 

2.In the menu that appears, select Boot Manager, and press Enter.
