Unable to cancel the work relationship

Summary:

We have a case where we have two different employee numbers for an employee, One of them was incorrectly created and the other is required and processing payroll on the same. Mistakenly on July 30th and team processed the payroll on an incorrect assignment and transferred the Costing into GL.

Later realized and requested to cancel the work relationship and we advised that it was not possible since Costing is transferred in final mode. Now they have reversed the payroll and sent the Reverse costing to GL again and the team asking us to give the approach to cancel the work relationship by any cost since it is a duplicate record and compliance issue.
