Default Behavior on Global Transfer - HCM Design Studio

Attempting to use design studio to default a checkbox within the local and global transfer flow

We often have employees that transfer from one company to another and we always want their balances to transfer with them. The checkbox used to transfer balances in the local and global transfer flow is often missed, causing employees to exceed certain max balances. To make this less of a manual process, we would like to default the "copy balances to the new employment record" checkbox on global transfers as well as automatically populate the Process Information Group. We have made the field required in design studio, however, it doesn't seem to be required at all.
