How to restrict the user from Opening the AP Period of In-active Business Unit?

Hi,

I have removed the active check box from the Manage Business Unit page of a BU and now the user is not able to create new invoice for the same BU, the challenge is that he is still able to open the AP period for the same BU.

Please guide, how to restrict the AP period access from the user of an In-active BU.
