Is there any limitation on the maximum number of values to be added to DFF LOV in AP module?

Our clients need to select their project code when they enter some invoice data in Account Payables.

The project code has increased by 1 million records per a year.

We think that we can't manage the data using AFF, due to the huge volume.

Can we manage the data using DFF? For example, in the case of setting the project code as the standard lookups and the DFF refers to the code, the module work properly wihtout any performance issues?
