Can the USOnlinePayslip xml file be modified in order to regenerate corrected payslips?

Payslips are incorrect due to an incorrect Reporting Name field on an earnings result pay element. Can we modify the USOnlinePayslip XML?

Payroll has been finalized and payments issued. Pay is correct but the hours displayed on the payslips are incorrect due to the wrong Reporting Name on one of the earnings result pay elements. We corrected the reporting name but since the payslip is printed from the data on the XML file we cannot reissue the corrected payslips. Since payments have already been issues we can't rollback the payslips, payments and archive. Can we update the XML file used for payslip printing?
