Ability to use 'like' operator in the offer letter template

Hi,

We have a requirement where we are conditioning a paragraph based out of a state from the job location but the location name field does consists of other values apart from the state and we tried INSTR function but somehow it is not working as expected. Also, unable to use like operator in the condition.

Could you please suggest any solution for example if we have to check that state is NY in the job location New York NY 310 West 57th Street.

What should be the condition in the offer letter template ?
