Can we have different Employee Number sequence at Legal Entity level?

Example:

We have two legal employers say A and B.

Employees who are hired under legal employer A should have a person number sequence starting from 1000.

Employees who are hired under legal employer A should have a person number sequence starting from 3000.

Please let me know if this is possible.
