How can we hide the Bank Account Type in the Payment Methods page?

We have a requirement to hide the Account Type field in the Payment Methods page (Navigation: Me -> Pay -> Payment Methods). The field is not required and the options available in the dropdown are unfamiliar to our users.

It does not appear possible to hide this in the Transaction Design Studio or the Page Composer. Is it possible to hide the field another way?
