How to delete or cancel one of two Worker Assignments from a certain person

Summary:

A certain person have two Worker Assignments as follows

E2-2 : active

E2 : inactive

The thing is that I'm not able to update E2-2 Assignment saying some errors, due to the other Assignment E2

Hence, I've decided to delete or cancel the other Assignment E2 and tried a lot, it turned out that E2 can not be deleted, because another different Assignment E2-2 here, saying some errors either.

In this status, Could you please let me know how to delete or cancel E2 assignment for enabling modifying E2-2 Assignment?

This issue is so time sensitive, so it would be great if anyone else provide any solutions on it.
