How to restrict attachments only to one type (PDF,jpg) for each document type seperately?

We have a requirement to restrict the attachments uploaded by users based on the document type.

For example:

Document Type - Passport, Only PDF attachment should be allowed for users to upload

Document Type - Visa, only jpg attachment should be allowed for users to upload

Please help me how can we achieve this.
