Both Source Medium and Source Name blank for 20% of external candidates

Summary:

We are tend to see large amounts of external candidates coming through with blank source name and medium. Is there any explanation as to why this happens?

We have had around 1300 candidates in the past two weeks with blank sources. They have not been loaded in by HDL
