Contract Info - Projected End Date

Summary:

Hi,

We are performing a contract extension in the past (Sept) however the employee already has a record for the future. The page is not allowing any maintenance under the yellow highlighted fields. We have tried by deleting the future record and those fields are appearing. IS this an excepted behavior? Is there any workaround?
