How to attach a unique 3 digit number as a suffix in the sent file name in payment transmission?

Dear Experts,

We need to send a 3 digit unique number in the file name sent for our Host to Host Integration payments with a particular bank in Oracle Fusion. Currently we are able to generate a 6 digit unique number and we are not able to trim it to 3 digits. Need your suggestions on how this can be achieved.
