Prevent termination process, if there are any pending approvals

Hi all,

We have encountered the following problem: If an approval is pending for an employee (e.g. transfer) and the employee is then terminated (e.g. termination date is far in the future), the transfer process is withdrawn.

We are now looking for a way to prevent/block the termination or display a warning message if a pending transaction has not yet been completed. Do you know of a possible solution?
