Can we assign manually an autoprovisioning role?

Hi,

I created a role with an autoprovisioned rule. However, I have two emplyees that need that role but did not enter in the autoprovisioning rule because they are an exception to the rule. Can I add the role with the autoproviosioning rule manually? Will it remain associated to those two employees?
