Serial number at receipt & Issue

Hi Experts,

There is a requirement for one item serial number need to record at the time receipt and at the time of Inventory issue. So is that possible that for a item can we serial number at receipt as well as issue ? but in item specification we have inventory receipt or inventory pick. but it has to work for both.
