Possible to add Preferred Last Name Field to ORC?

Hi -- we are in the process of adding a Preferred Last Name field to our person records in Core HR (https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/discussion/comment/957215#Comment_957215). Anyone know if it is possible to add a Preferred Last Name field to Oracle *Recruiting*?

ORC already has a Preferred Name (Preferred First Name field) when candidates sign up (either applying to a requisition or for the Talent Pool). We are using this to auto generate our emails -- in other words, a Pending Worker is automatically sent to our Active Directory and the email address is generated in the following format: PreferredFirstName.LastName@company.com.
