Category tile image URL Error

When trying to add a JPG image to the ‘Hero’ and ‘Tile’ image under Category Tiles in the careers site we get the following error message:

Enter Tile Image URL in the format: http://example.com.

Can JPG images not be put into this field? If so are we missing something and how should these fields work? Thanks.
