How to receive an email if business rule fails within ruleset/how to have the entire ruleset fail

Summary:

when a business rule set runs, one of the jobs failed not able to load data from one cube to another.

no email was sent and business rule continued next step, even though previous step had a failure.

Job details show all jobs successful, even though one job did fail.

would like to know how to receive an email if business rule fails within a rule set and how to prevent rest of the rules to not run after a failure.
