My customer is looking for accounting to be dynamically updated in GL based on the department and item category for material transaction issue and receipt.

To meet the required, I created mapping set in accounting rules with input source as account alias and item category. Referenced the mapping set to offset account combination rule.

However, the accounts on material transactions created through account alias is not overridden from the account provided in mapping set in cost accounting.

Looking for inputs if I have missed anything. Based on Oracle notes the account override should work through mapping set. Sharing the links here.
