Inventory Lot Transactions across items

Hello,

We have a specific business requirement to move Lot Numbers' balances across items, without using Transform-type Work Orders.

Looks like the FBDI-option might be a good solution, however, the below note mentions that we cannot perform the Translate/Merge/Split transactions across items:

Is there any workaround for the requirement?

Will the option to move Lots across items become available in a future roadmap, as far as we know at the moment?
