Sales order cancelled but reservation is not cancelled
Use case:
- When sales order is booked, it makes reservation as a standard process.
- When the sales order is cancelled, it does not automatically cancel reservations at certain times which causes Item On-hand issues for Available to Promise Quantities.
- Oracle SR suggested to run 'Purge Excess Inventory Reservations Process' to clear these reservations.
Issue:
- How the business will know that there are transactions/reservations that are stuck in this process?
- Oracle did not recommend to schedule the job 'Purge Excess Inventory Reservations Process'.
- Users cannot manually keep track and identify this issue on regular basis.
- Hence, please share any suggestions how this could be monitored and cleared.
