Approvers are not receiving approval notification once requested information from the worker

Hi Team,

We had an issue where the approvers were not receiving the email notification once a document has been submitted.

Scenario:

Employee updated their personal info. i,e updated marital status and submitted, approval triggered to HR_REPs(PARALLEL setup) once one of the approver requested information to submit the marriage certificate. And once the worker submitted the marriage certificate the approvers are not receiving the approval notification again. Transaction has been stuck in the old state where the 'approver requester information from worker' . Aany idea on reason why?
