When an employee is referring a candidate where does it's resume stored in backend

when an employee referred a candidate (there is apply link goes to candidate email id )candidate is in prospect stage , once candidate apply for the job it's goes to Applicant stage. 

Here the requirement is while referring the candidate resume is uploaded by the employee where that resume is stored in backend ? when employee is in Prospect stage.
