Alert Composer - Learning notification Double Name

We are working on setting up a learning notification for assignments due in the next 7 days. The notification is generating a double name in the email("Dear Jim Smith, Jim Smith,") and I am not sure why. Here is the configuration:

I thought it might be b/c there are 2 recipients listed, so I deleted the Worklist one and that didn't help. I thought maybe the name was generating from the "Group By" expression, so I deleted the "assignedToDisplayName" expression from the message text, but again, didn't help.
